“I started teaching 20 years ago because of the lack of good makeup education out there. Today we are in the same boat but with an added challenge.
Beginner/intermediate makeup artists are navigating through all the bad info. out there and incorporating “makeup hacks” and unsanitary bad habits they see from Youtube/Tik Tok. This is a career growth killer for Pro artists. You can’t decipher between what’s good and what’s bad unless you have a good core education.
I am a big believer in positive energy and producing these classes/workshops that not only educate but inspire and lift artists up with gratitude for their craft. I don't think there is enough of that in our industry.
I’ve experienced every angle of this industry. I was one of the first artists to develop on site wedding beauty. 30 years ago, women went to salons or makeup counters to have their wedding makeup done. I built a strong wedding team and developed a contract that has been copied for 30 years as the golden standard in weddings. From there I traveled the world with my celebrity clients, did editorials in top magazines, film, tv, and developed products. A few career highlights: doing Rihanna’s makeup, creating a glitter that was used In Euphoria, and having my makeup advice quoted in all the top beauty magazines.”

Debra has been a Makeup Artist for 30 years working with celebrities and traveling the world with her clients. Her love for makeup started at a very young age and blossomed into a life of beauty. She is also a Beauty & Style Editor, interviewing hundreds of celebrities over the years for iHeart Radio. Debra grew up on the Northshore of Boston and currently splits her time between Salem, MA and Los Angeles, CA.
Debra keeps in touch with her students, passing job opportunities onto them, and offering extra help at no charge. Her students have worked with celebrities like Chrissy Teigen, Paris Hilton, the stars from Euphoria, and many more.
